Survey CAD Technician

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform office duties including data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks, and staking computations using survey computer programs and IntelliCAD.
• Daily CADD production to complete boundary, topographic, and house location surveys.
• Draft grading plans, easement plats, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
• Use Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD (primary) and GIS (secondary).
• Maintain attention to detail; self‑motivated with critical thinking ability.
• Perform mathematical calculations and check field data.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.
• Know basic sources of measurement errors.
• Basic understanding of geometry and grading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school education or equivalent with background in math, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in a civil engineering environment.
• Knowledge of Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD is required.
• Good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication.
• Attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Background check and drug testing required.
