SURVEY CAD TECHNICIAN

About the role

Bloom is seeking a Survey Cad Technician with experience in Facilities Development principles. The position is part of a growing engineering team that values self-motivation and diverse perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Specializing in land development, utilities, and roadway surveying
• Working on one and two-person survey crews utilizing GPS, robotic total stations, and unmanned aerial systems
• Processing field data, drafting documents, and assisting with document preparation
• Communicating effectively with design team members, clients, and other agencies

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of surveying experience
• A degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying is preferred, with an Associate's Degree being sufficient
• A Land Surveyor in Training certification is preferred
• Knowledge of Trimble and/or Topcon GPS Systems is advantageous
• Strong decision-making skills, excellent communication, flexibility, focus on quality, and attention to detail are essential
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CADD (MicroStation preferred)

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying
• Experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
• Experience with Terrestrial Based Scanners
