Survey CAD Technician [AQ-11882]

Responsibilities
- Collect and input field data into electronic job folders.
- Interpret deeds, maps, field notes, etc., to ensure proper location of boundaries and/or facilities.
- Analyze electronic data and perform mathematical adjustments.
- Determine boundary easement location between private and ownerships.
- Prepare maps, sketches, plats, and metes & bounds descriptions of interests.
- Prepare legal reports, maps, and plats for architecture, engineering, environmental, legal, and service consultants.
- Create, update, and maintain easement and property rights on maps and GIS systems.
- Delineate routes, areas, and sites for fee and easement acquisitions which supports operations.
- Perform field measurements as part of a survey crew as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated creativity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and analytical and problem-solving ability.
- A team player with a detail-oriented approach.
- Basic knowledge of surveying techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of various surveying maps and deliverables.
- Basic knowledge of relevant computer applications, such as CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting).
- Proficient skill with AutoCAD and coordinate geometry software to produce scaled drawings.
- Proficient skill with ArcMap GIS software, field GPS, and data collection devices.
- Proficient skill in processing field data using Trimble Business Center.
- Proficient skill with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Basic knowledge of legal principles of real estate and land boundary law.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Able to provide a valid driver's license, present and maintain a safe driving record, and operate motor vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Experience with drafting.
