About the role
Bowman has an opportunity for a Survey Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Etna, NH.
Responsibilities
- Receive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution.
- Aid in managing people and processes to ensure effective execution.
- Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
- Assist manager in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.
- Cook with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
- Participate in meetings with prospective clients, proposal preparations, and establishment of budgets and schedules.
- Maintain close liaison with clients and work with Project Manager to resolve project questions including technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.
- Work with the Project Manager to review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors which may significantly affect staffing requirements or the budget.
- Serve as primary project point of contact as needed to coordinate surveying and mapping services between Survey Party Chief and the client.
- Absorb outstanding monies due from assigned clients.
- Participate in marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred, or commensurate relevant experience.
- Professional Land Surveying registration preferred.
- Five or more (5+) years of land surveying or related land development experience to include professional project management experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams.
- Familiarity with financial principles.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Partly indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
- Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Partly outdoor work environment which may include adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.
- Frequent and prolonged use of data collection equipment and/or drones, necessitating walking the assigned study area to complete data collection over the course of several hours.
- Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
