Job Summary
Aid surveyors in providing routine field and office surveying and mapping services to company divisions. This is an hourly, non-exempt position requiring direct supervision.
Essential Functions
- Clear vegetation and debris for measurement.
- Transport, assemble, set, and dismantle tripods, targets, and reflectors.
- Position safety signs and direct traffic.
- Measure angles, distances, and elevations accurately.
- Record survey field notes.
- Operate survey instruments.
- Safely operate a company vehicle.
- Care for and maintain company equipment.
- Work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Knowledge of survey principles and practices.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions.
- Basic mathematical calculations.
- Compliance with GOH Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license for the state in which you reside with an acceptable driving record.
- Completion of PennDOT Flagger Training Course.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in land surveying preferred.
Training Requirements
- PennDOT Flagger Training.
- MSHA (if applicable).
- GPS/Data Collection Annual Safety Training.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to dust, noise, inclement weather, and extreme temperatures.
- Walking and working on uneven terrain.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment.
