Assistant Survey Technician

Primary Responsibilities

• Take measurements of distances, angles, elevations, and contours
• Locate embedded objects in concrete using a rebar scanner and record appropriately
• Set up and take down survey equipment as required
• Provide as-built information to site team
• Manage detailed field notes and sketches
• Perform work from elevated heights as required to record data
• Understand project drawings and specifications
• Observe all safety guidelines and procedures, particularly when working
• Maintain congenial relationships with all customers and promote a positive reputation for yourself and the company
• Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company, maintaining Copper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain badges and certificates necessary to enter sites and perform work
• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• OSHA 30 certification, preferred
• Aerial Lift Certification, preferred
• Experience running a Hilti Rebar Scanner, preferred
