Surveillance Technician (FT)

About the role

Assist the Lead Surveillance Technician in managing CCTV analog matrix and digital recording systems. Keep equipment operating with routine cleaning, repair, and installation of new or replacement CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supply the Lead Surveillance Technician with an accurate record of equipment malfunctions, assist in fixing malfunctions in a timely manner, and report such to the Indiana Gaming Commission and the Director of Surveillance.
• Complete preventive maintenance and equipment schedules.
• Repair Surveillance Equipment.
• Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
• Assist with low voltage, CCTV camera placement and installs, digital recorder maintenance and installs, IT networking, UTP Cable and Coax pulls.
• Gain and maintain CCTV Equipment Certifications (Digital & Analog Certifications).
• Stay up to date on new CCTV Equipment technology (Analog/Digital & IP Equipment).
• Maintain professional relationships with all CCTV vendors, distributors, and manufacturers.
• Report directly to the Director of Surveillance.
• Assist all Departments.
• Provide positive communication and use Marquee Service skills with every patron and co-worker.
• Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
• Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description when necessary for efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate an adding machine.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Pay

Starting salary: $22.00 per hour. Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
