About the role
The incumbent is responsible for performing technical surveillance duties to ensure state and federal gaming laws and policies and procedures are maintained. This includes surveillance of the gaming floor, parking lot, back-of-the-house areas, outbuildings, and shops using complex electronic and video equipment while promoting outstanding guest relations.
Responsibilities
- Observe, monitor, and record all activity occurring in the casino area and document observations in writing as required.
- Record events in table games, slots, cage, and soft count.
- Maintain a working knowledge of credit procedures, cash transaction reports, company procedures, and regulatory regulations.
- Perform duties in compliance with company standards and gaming regulations.
- Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations.
- Disclose irregularities, variances in procedures, etc., observed during duties to management immediately.
- Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying managers of concerns.
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all Illinois Gaming Regulations.
- Attend seminars when needed.
- Complete mental math quickly.
- Work overtime and/or change shifts on short notice.
- Collaborate with co-workers in a team-oriented, small environment.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a security-related field or gaming-related positions (e.g., Cage, Slot, Table Games, or Audit) preferred.
- Analytical, observational, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Casino surveillance or related experience is an asset.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
- 20/20 corrected vision is required.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Familiarity with Blackjack, roulette, craps, and other card games is preferred.

Pay
Pay Range: $15 - $20 per hour.
