Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with internal standards, regulations and gaming regulations.
- Monitor all areas of the property at all times in order to identify possible theft or safety risks including table games, casino floor, cage and all other cash-handling areas.
- Research and review disputes, locate video evidence requested for investigations by other departments and conduct special surveillance assignments.
- Operate phones, computers and other surveillance equipment, input/retrieve data, take photographs and make DVD’s.
- Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality while performing all surveillance duties.
- Assist in any internal or external investigations conducted with authorized Law Enforcement Agency, including Nevada Gaming Control Board Officers and local Law Enforcement.
- Ensure all Team Members are complying with Title 31, regulations, ordinance, cash handling, POS, gaming, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure all Surveillance equipment is functioning properly throughout respective shift with routine camera checks.
- Utilize facial recognition program to monitor and identity possible matches of undesirable or persons of interest complied within internal database.
- Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports and daily log entries for Surveillance activities, observations, reviews and audits.
- Perform routine or requested player evaluations on a live table game for suspicious activity or advantage play by determining their skill level and play style.
- Maintain current and up-to-date job knowledge and take job-related assessments at management’s discretion to exhibit that knowledge.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
- Knowledge of gaming laws, all casino games, financial areas, property policies and procedures, with a basic understanding of the hospitality and gaming industry.
- Knowledge of cheating, theft, fraud detection and Investigative procedures and techniques.
- Must have the following skills: clerical, analyzing, precision working, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
- A strong attention to detail, organization, and be able to multi-task and prioritize.
- A high-level understanding of interpersonal skills to productively deal with business contacts and team members at all levels of the company.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of staff and Law Enforcement.
- Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations in a calm, professional manner.
- Write proficient reports documenting observations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Understanding of Surveillance software, iTrak, BJ Survey, Synkros, eConnect, Oosto Onwatch, Mirasys.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Education And/or Experience
- Minimum 1 year of previous Casino Surveillance experience required or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certificates And Licenses
- Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting and occasionally standing and walking during the duration of their shift.
- Must be able to lift/carry 25lbs or less occasionally.
- The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and light grasping motions.
- Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
- Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others.
- Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment and electrical devices.
- Team member may be exposed to extreme cold.
