About the role
As a Private Investigator, you’ll provide clients with evidence to defend against potentially fraudulent Worker's Compensation claims. This isn’t a desk job—each day brings new challenges and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, follow, and videotape subjects during their day-to-day activities
- Conduct vehicle and foot pursuits while maintaining cover
- Film subjects in varied locations, from grocery stores to sports games
- Develop pre-surveillance strategies based on location and case details
- Write detailed reports on observed activities and submit video evidence
- Maintain regular communication with team leaders on setup positions, activity, and tactics
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years or older
- Willingness to work 50–55 hours per week on average (including commute time)
- Ability to travel out of town for 10–15 days per month
- Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to start as early as 5:00 AM daily, with occasional evening work
- Must pass DMV check and background check
- Confident driving skills

Pay
- Entry-level starting pay: $18.00 per hour
- Full-time staff earnings: $40,000–$45,000+ annually (including paid commute time and overtime)
- Overtime pay for commute and travel time
Schedule
- Full-time, 50–55 hours per week on average
- 10–11 hours per day on average, depending on travel distance
- Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
