Surgical Technology Adjunct Instructor

Responsibilities

• Assess the accomplishment of students on a regular basis.
• Maintain records of student attendance and progress.
• Provide consistent and appropriate time spent at each clinical facility.
• Understand policy for reporting accidents and completing incident reports.
• Develop clinical rotation schedules.
• Complete clinical evaluations per student for each clinical rotation, including a written evaluation based on observing the student from start to finish of a surgical procedure performed at a clinical site.
• Input case information onto a case summary spreadsheet.
• Review all clinical documentation each week and provide student feedback in a timely manner.
• Attend relevant professional meetings.
• Represent the College positively in interactions with the community and with professional and academic groups at local, state, and national levels.

Requirements

• Diploma in Surgical Technology.
• National Surgical Technology Certification required.
• Minimum of two years experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
