Adjunct Instructor- Surgical Technology

Position Overview

Athens Technical College is seeking a dedicated Adjunct Instructor in Surgical Technology to teach and support students in the Surgical Technology program. This part-time teaching position involves classroom instruction, student assessment, and maintaining program quality in alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for assigned courses.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress toward learning goals.
• Prepare and maintain accurate administrative and academic records.
• Maintain classroom and laboratory environments, including safety equipment and inventory.
• Contribute to student recruitment and retention efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree.
• Two (2) years of related professional experience.
• Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
