Responsibilities
- Performs technical skill duties in all operating room specialty service areas.
- Maintains, assembles, handles, and sterilizes specialty instrumentation.
- Assists Registered Professional Nurses in the intra-operative phase of the nursing practice.
- Compiles accurate and complete documentation of surgical cases on operating room record.
- Participates in the orientation of new operating room personnel.
- Participates in operating room staff development through in-service education programs, conferences, and research projects.
- Participates in nursing/hospital committees as requested.
- Accepts on-call rotation.
- Performs job functions adhering to service principles with a customer service focus of innovation, service excellence, and teamwork.
- Demonstrates knowledge of pertinent aspects and competency with protocols related to the use of chemical disinfection, high level disinfection, and sterilization.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent and completion of a Surgical Technologist Program required.
- Three years of experience as an operating room technician desirable.
- Certification as surgical technologist is preferred.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- (CST) - Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
Skills
- Knowledge of pertinent aspects and competency with protocols related to the use of chemical disinfection, high level disinfection, and sterilization.

Pay
$26.25-$42.92 Hourly
Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
