Surgical Technologist PRN

Westminster Surgery Center is seeking a motivated PRN Certified Surgical Technologist to join our fast-paced team, committed to delivering the highest quality care and experience for patients and their families.

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the PRN Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and functions as a competent member of the surgical team. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures. The role supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center and participates in quality improvement activities.

Experience supporting the following specialties is preferred: Orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures while demonstrating competence as part of the surgical team.
• Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Support and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Adapt quickly to changing patient conditions as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and physicians.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or at least two years of previous surgical technician experience.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Pay

Pay range: $30.00 – $39.13 per hour. Wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
