Surgical Technologist Lead
Job Summary
As a Lead Surgical Technologist, you’ll take on a vital leadership role in the OR, guiding your team and ensuring patients receive the safest, most advanced surgical care. Working alongside a highly experienced, collaborative surgical team, you’ll bring order, precision, and confidence to the operating room.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Vocational Training Program in Surgical Technology
- Currently certified as a Surgical Technologist preferred
- BLS Certification required
- 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
Responsibilities
- Leading surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness for every procedure
- Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons through complex cardiac surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment
- Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists, serving as a role model while training new team members and reinforcing best practices
- Overseeing quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards
- Driving teamwork and efficiency through effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases
