Surgical Technologist III

About the Role

The OR Tech III is a key member of the surgical team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist during all phases of surgery. They collaborate with surgeons and RNs to deliver patient care across various service lines, including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic, and trauma cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgeries, ensure proper preparation and sterilization, and maintain sterile techniques.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth surgical procedures and patient safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an OR Technician training program
• 2-3 years of experience in surgical technology
• Strong knowledge and skills to scrub for multiple service lines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and make calls

Qualifications & Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technician
• NBSTSA Certification
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association)
