Surgical Technologist I- Main OR (Full-Time, Temporary, PMs)

Position Summary

The Surgical Technologist I functions as a team member during the preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative phases of the surgical procedure.

Minimum Education / Training / Experience

• One (1) year recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist
• Two years recent surgery center experience in the capacity of a Surgical Tech
• Graduate of an accredited Operation Room Technician course
• Has successfully completed Enloe Medical Center’s hospital based Surgical Technologist Training Program
• A current Enloe employee who has applied and been accepted into the Surgical Tech Trainee Program

Desired Licenses / Certifications

• Membership in a national surgical technologist organization
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist

• Basic skills appropriate to the role of the Surgical Technologist

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability and willingness to actively participate in continuing education programs, unit based QI task forces and committees
• Ability to meet competency requirements
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
