Surgical Technologist- Full Time- Day Shift
About the Role
Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members, you will handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during general to moderately complex surgical procedures. You will ensure understanding of the assigned surgical procedures and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team. Additionally, you will provide service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, and assist the surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs. You will also respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.

Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or six months of specialized patient care training in the armed forces.
- Specific knowledge of surgical procedures within the operating room (OR).
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, practices, and techniques in providing patient care and assisting surgeons in the O.R.
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification required (or obtain within one month of start date).
- Surgical Technologist certification preferred but not required.
