Surgical Technologist - First Assist, Days

Role: Surgical First Assistant Responsibilities Assist during operative and invasive procedures according to credentials, privileges, and experience. Support OR staff by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment as a scrub tech. Maintain sterile fields and anticipate the needs of the surgical team. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program. Completion of didactic and clinical components of the First Assistant program or competency verified by a surgeon. Minimum 3 years perioperative services experience. Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Basic Life Support (BLS), and a surgical assistant certification such as CSA, CSFA, or equivalent. Skills & Attributes: Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and team collaboration to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
