Surgical Technologist First Assist

Responsibilities

• Support surgical teams by preparing operating rooms and managing instruments
• Provide first-assist support during surgical procedures under surgeon supervision
• Maintain sterile technique and anticipate surgeon needs
• Handle specimens and ensure accurate counts
• Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, and anesthesia teams
• Support patient safety protocols and assist with room turnover and equipment setup

Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to anticipate needs and respond quickly in a surgical setting
