Surgical Tech - First Assist, Days

Role Overview Functions as a first assistant during operative and invasive procedures, supporting the surgical team in accordance with credentials, privileges, and competency verification. Assists OR staff in assigned cases by preparing and providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment as a scrub tech. Maintains a sterile field, anticipates needs, and responds effectively to ensure smooth surgical operations. Key Responsibilities Serve as a first assistant during surgeries and invasive procedures. Prepare and supply sterile instruments and supplies. Maintain sterile environment and assist surgical team as needed. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program. Completion of didactic and clinical components of the First Assistant program or competency verified by a surgeon. Minimum of 3 years perioperative services experience. Certifications: CST, BCLS, and a surgical assistant certification such as CSA, CSFA, or SA-C.
