What You'll Do
Prepare the operating room/delivery room and check to assure readiness for the patient, with attention to sterile technique. Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments by policies and procedures. Perform as a primary scrub tech handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures and deliveries while applying principles of sterile technique. Perform additional patient care assigned by the RN. Contribute to expected patient outcomes by policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. Respond to on-call obligations with a 30-minute response time.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Preferred: One year of Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech experience or three years of Operating Room experience.
