Surgical Technologist
About the role
The Surgical Technologist at Middle Tennessee Ambulatory Surgery Center scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. They maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures, prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures, and support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. They also support and participate in quality improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures.
- Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
- Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience CST Certification
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Can quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
- Excellence in teamwork and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

$20k Sign on Bonus Available
