Surgical Technologist

About the role

The Surgical Technologist at The Advanced Center for Surgery scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. They maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures, prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures, and support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
• Experience with robotic total joint.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Able to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed.
