A 24-hour per week position mostly on Mondays and Fridays with an additional weekend shift in a 6-week schedule.
About the role
As a member of the surgical team in the General Operating Room, the SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN.
- May participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse when not directly assisting the physician in a procedure.
Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist (must be certified within 1 year of hire)
- Current AHA BLS CPR Certification
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
