Surgical Technician – Surgery General

About the Role

As a Surgical Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a sterile environment, assisting surgeons and surgical team members, and ensuring proper care of all operating room equipment and instruments. Your role includes handling specimen care and performing related duties to support surgical procedures, maintain sterile techniques, and ensure patient safety in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures.
• Ensure proper care, handling, and sterilization of all OR equipment and instruments.
• Handle specimen care according to established protocols.
• Adhere to sterile techniques to promote patient safety.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an Operating Room or GI Endoscopy setting.
