Surgical Technician - Orthopedic Surgery
Providence caregivers are valued members of the surgical team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical support personnel to provide patient care consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Surgical Services department at Swedish Medical Center.
About the role
The Surgical Technologist (ST) facilitates surgical procedures by assembling instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. This role is part of a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team, including registered nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Provide patient care in alignment with the mission and values of the Surgical Services department.
Requirements
- Certificate of completion from a surgical technician vocational program or equivalent training.
- Washington Surgical Technologist Registration (required upon hire).
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required upon hire).
Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in a hospital operating room (preferred).

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $38.56 - $58.87 per hour. The successful candidate’s placement within this range will be determined based on relevant experience and other applicable factors.
Schedule
This is a per-diem, variable-shift position.
