Surgical Technician Cert

Job Summary

As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare the operating room and surgical team for surgical procedures.
• Set up and organize surgical equipment and instruments based on surgical preference cards.
• Keep track of needles, sponges, and instruments throughout the procedure and perform counts per policy.
• Report any breaks in sterility or unsafe practices to ensure patient safety.
• Avoid scrubbing in if you are not feeling well or have had contact with someone who is sick.
• Assist team members with cleaning and turning over the OR room after each procedure.
• Assist other members of the OR team as needed.
• Demonstrate understanding of the hospital's mission and values in your work.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist or Technologist in Surgery-Certified.
• Basic Life Support - CPR.
• One year experience in operating room preferred.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.
