Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
• Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Performs on-call services as requested.
• Actively participates and ensures room turnovers are efficient and timely.
• Assists with orientation and training of personnel and students.
• Participates and attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Completed a Certified Surgical Technology Program.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
• 1-year related experience (preferred).
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Schedule

Full-time day shift: 6:45 am – 7:15 pm (12-hour shifts). On-call requirement: one night per week and one weekend per month, with a 30-minute response time.

Pay

$7,500 sign-on bonus (based on meeting eligibility criteria).
