Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the surgical suite
• Intraoperative handling of instruments
• Maintenance of the sterile field
• Evaluation of changing conditions during surgical procedures
• Making appropriate responses as needed
• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
• Acts as a preceptor and engages with management and education team on surgical technology curriculum

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.)
• 3 years of independent Surgical Technologist experience
• Certification must be maintained throughout employment to maintain Senior status
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days
• Surgical Technologist Certified (CST) – NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C)
• NCCT required upon hire

• Preferred 3 years of independent Surgical Technologist experience
