Surgical Tech Sr

About the role

The Surgical Technologist Senior will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, and making appropriate responses as needed. They will also be responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols, acts as a preceptor, and engages with management and education team on surgical technology curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the surgical suite
• Intraoperative handling of instruments
• Maintenance of the sterile field
• Evaluation of changing conditions during surgical procedures
• Making appropriate responses as needed
• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
• Acts as a preceptor
• Engages with management and education team on surgical technology curriculum

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.)
• 3 years of independent Surgical Technologist experience
• Certification must be maintained throughout employment to maintain Senior status
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Surgical Technologist Certified (CST) – NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) NCCT

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma
• Preferred: Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.)
• Required: 3 years of independent Surgical Technologist experience
• Required: Certification must be maintained throughout employment to maintain Senior status
• Required: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Required: Surgical Technologist Certified (CST) – NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) NCCT

Pay

Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus offered.

Schedule

Variable Days Worked Monday to Friday, On-call weekends.
