Sr Surgical Technologist
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile field before procedures.
- Scrub in and assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Perform instrument counts before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist with room turnover between surgical cases.
- Clean, decontaminate, and prepare surgical instruments for sterilization.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Support procedures across multiple specialties, including: General Surgery, Gynecology, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Total Joint Surgery, Robotic Surgery.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new Surgical Technologists.
- Provide care for patients across all age groups, including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or hospital operating room.
- Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties.
- Strong flexibility, adaptability, and positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Pay
$25 to $31/hr on W2
Schedule
Monday - Friday
Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM CST
