Surgical Tech - First Assist, Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with hemostasis, tissue exposure, and wound closure.
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety and proper draping.
• Manipulate tissues, dissect, and remove human tissue as required.
• Inject medications and manipulate sutures using various techniques.
• Model professional behavior, mentor colleagues, and support team training.
• Perform wound dressing, apply wound closure materials, and assist with surgical procedures as directed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent certification (e.g., CST, TS-C, CSFA, or CSA).
• Active certification and mandatory ongoing education (15 hours annually).
• No prior experience required if qualifications are met.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization, and patient safety standards.

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor, with variable shift hours, located in the operating room of a hospital facility.
