About the role
A Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist is needed to assist in cardiac surgical procedures as part of a dedicated team. You will prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and support physicians and nurses during surgeries to ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Scrub in on open heart cases
- Manage surgical instruments
- Assist with patient monitoring
- Cross-train into general OR or other specialties as needed
- Float as a 1:1 sitter when required
- Respond to call within 15 minutes
Requirements
- Current certification from an accredited NBSTSA program
- BLS Certification
- At least 2 years of experience as a CVOR technologist in a cardiac setting
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Experience with open heart, CABG, and valve procedures
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including call nights and weekends
- Knowledge of EPIC charting system (preferred)
