About the role

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Surgical Technologist at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Care for Military Families

• Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts
• On Call On-call begins Friday at 18:30 and ends Monday at 06:30
• On-call one weekend per month
• If called in, must report within 30 minutes

Requirements

• One year of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician after graduation
• Graduate from CAAHEP - Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (or)
• ABHES -Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (or)
• Completion of a formal training program provided by any U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) for surgical technicians, surgical technologists or operating room technicians
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA -The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (or)
• Certified as a Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C) from the NCCT - National Center for Competency Testing
