About the role
The Surgical Scrub Technician plays a critical role in preparing operating rooms for surgeries, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the operation.
Responsibilities
- Prepares operating rooms for surgeries according to hospital protocols.
- Assists surgeons during surgical procedures, including passing instruments and supplies.
- Maintains sterile technique and ensures compliance with infection control guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensures all equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly before surgery begins.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control practices.
- Basic understanding of surgical procedures and operating room procedures.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
