Surgical Scheduling Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate neurosurgical procedures and manage scheduling with hospitals and surgery centers.
  • Build cases in Epic and arrange pre- and post-operative appointments.
  • Communicate with patients and clinical teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure documentation and authorizations are complete.
  • Support team operations and collaborate with clinical teams.
  • Schedule surgeries and procedures, verify authorizations, and maintain records.
  • Coordinate logistics with patients and providers.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and critical thinking.

Experience with Epic and surgery scheduling is preferred.
