Surgical Oncology (Assistant/Associate)

About the role

The Division of Surgical Oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute, within the Department of Surgery, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System, is recruiting at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank for an academically oriented Surgical Oncologist.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy and well-established multi-disciplinary program focusing on Gastrointestinal Oncology.
• Report to the Division Chief of Surgical Oncology, at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
• Support the educational goals of the school, engaging in teaching activities for medical students and residents, as well as delivering targeted lectures in their area of expertise.

Requirements

• Strong interest in Gastrointestinal Oncology.
• Academic appointment within the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and located in New Brunswick, NJ.
• Experience commensurate with academic rank.

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained surgeons with advanced technologies and innovative surgical techniques.
• Vast expertise in managing patients' disease through HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy).
• World-renowned cancer researchers investigating the effects of combining innovative surgical techniques with medical and radiation oncology.

Skills

• Minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery.
• Ability to perform complex surgical procedures and participate in cutting-edge clinical trials.
