Surgical Oncologist: Melanoma and Cutaneous Malignancies

About the role

The Division of Surgical Oncology in the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute and the Department of Surgery at Mass General Brigham are actively recruiting a full-time academic Surgical Oncologist with a dedicated interest in melanoma and cutaneous malignancies at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level. This position will be based at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital campus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical practice focused on melanoma and cutaneous malignancies
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
• Engage in clinical research related to melanoma and cutaneous malignancies
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the Division of Surgical Oncology
• Collaborate with other members of the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute and Mass General Brigham to advance the field of surgical oncology

Requirements

• Completed M.D. or M.D., Ph.D.
• Completed ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency and fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology
• Board Certification in General Surgery

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional, academic, and teaching skills in general surgical oncology
• Track record of publication in basic or clinical research

• Strong clinical skills in melanoma and cutaneous malignancies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
