Surgical Oncologist
About the role
Evaluate and treat patients with benign and malignant tumors requiring surgical management
Perform complex oncologic surgical procedures including gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, soft tissue, and melanoma surgeries
Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including biopsies, tumor resections, and lymph node dissections
Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to develop comprehensive treatment plans
Participate in multidisciplinary cancer conferences and tumor boards
Provide consultation services and follow-up care for oncology patients
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standards
Responsibilities

Requirements
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of General Surgery Residency
Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology or complex general surgical oncology preferred
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Qualifications
