Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of cancer care to patients in office, outpatient, or inpatient settings, including the expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.
• Provide non-trauma on-call coverage for Legacy Hospitals.
• Conduct office follow-up for cancer patients and provide consultations on cancer-related issues.
• Participate in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs and relevant committees.
• Engage in community outreach activities for Legacy’s Cancer Services.
• Complete medical records, coding, billing, and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Work with adult and elderly/geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with other specialists to develop a comprehensive Legacy Cancer program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
• Completion of General Surgery residency.
• Board Certified in General Surgery.
• Board fellowship in Surgical Oncology or equivalent experience.
• Medical License in applicable state.
• BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association (required).
• ATLS (preferred).
