Surgical Intensive Care Team, NP/PA

About the role

The Surgical Critical Care Complex (SCCC) at ChristianaCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. The SCCC is a 22-bed unit that cares for complex post-surgical patients and those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, penetrating injuries, ruptured abdominal aneurysms, septic shock, and hemorrhagic shock.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds
• Medically manage and care for patients through the use of approved protocols and procedures
• Design individualized management plans in collaboration with physicians, staff nurses, and other healthcare professionals for surgical critical care patients

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing or as a Physician Assistant
• Acute Care NP license required
• Licenses or licenses eligible in state of Delaware
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an adult critical care setting preferred
• Experience in managing diverse surgical and trauma critical care scenarios preferred

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required
• PALS and Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS) certification preferred

Benefits

Annual Compensation Range: $122,903.00 - $154,147.00
