About the role
The Flex Surgical Equipment Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring that surgical medical equipment is in optimal working condition. They are responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and repairing various surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, evaluate, and test equipment.
- Disassemble and assemble equipment and instruments and repair as needed, including the removal and/or replacement of defective parts.
- Document all services & testing performed, including all parts needed.
- Maintain work area in good condition and to meet Visual Work Place (VWP) Standards.
- Handle timecard & time off entry, review and submission.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- 1-2 years of experience with repairs.
- The ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop often.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- The ability to use computer devices and systems as needed.
- The ability to use grinding wheels, soldering irons, sand blasters, Dremel style tools, torches, microscopes, small precision hand tools, magnification tools, tweezers, micro screw drivers, digital calipers and test equipment that require hand-eye coordination.
- Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs.
- The ability to repair identified basic equipment models and maintain modality/department standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, and stoop numerous times throughout the day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to follow work instructions and properly document work performed.
- Ability to follow workplace safety standards.
- Demonstrates solid time management skills to ensure assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Uses computer devices and systems as required.
- Promotes and contributes to teamwork environment.
- Contributes to overall division and company goals.
- Uses, and not limited to grinding wheels, soldering irons, sand blasters, Dremel style tools, torches, microscopes, small precision hand tools, magnification tools, tweezers, micro screw drivers, digital calipers, and test equipment that will require hand-eye coordination to execute task.
- Maintains close and continuous attention to detail and drive for quality.
- Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs.
- Ability to demonstrate a primary commitment to safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Management System, Agiliti’s Quality Policy, and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Responsible for accurate/timely timecard & time off entry, review, and submission.
- Strong team player mentality.
- Ability to handle and assemble small parts.
- Ability to repair identified basic equipment models and maintain to the following modality/department standards: Rework / Warranty % - per established company metrics, Production / Repair Rate - per established company metrics.
- Experience with equipment within identified Modality.
- Attendance that consistently meets policy.
- On-time Training Completion: includes, but not limited to Corporate, Technical, and Quality.
