Responsibilities
- Coordinated and scheduled cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures across office-based ORs, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals while managing surgeon, facility, anesthesia, and vendor availability.
- Served as the primary patient liaison, guiding patients through the consultation-to-surgery process, providing education, pre/post-operative instructions, and ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Maintained accurate patient records, surgical schedules, and EMR documentation while coordinating with vendors, ancillary providers, and clinical teams.
- Oversaw pre-operative requirements, including medical clearances, laboratory testing, imaging, consents, and compliance with surgeon protocols.
- Managed cosmetic surgery logistics, including treatment plan reviews, financial agreements, deposits, payment schedules, and financing coordination.
- Verified insurance benefits, secured prior authorizations, and coordinated documentation for reconstructive procedures.
- Ensured compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, accreditation standards, and practice policies while supporting departmental initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience working in a surgical, cosmetic, or medical practice environment preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical scheduling processes and coordination.
- Familiarity with plastic surgery procedures and terminology preferred.
