Surgical Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a talented and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. This role also brings an exciting change of scenery — you’ll get to travel to our beautiful Cape Coral and Naples locations while expanding your professional network!

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders.
• Avoid the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
• Some travel to Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples

Requirements

• OMFS experience preferred
• At least 1-2 years of experience as surgical assistant, specialty is preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• A high school diploma
• A certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law)
• An active state radiology license (if required by law)

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred
• Active state radiology license (if required by law)
