About the role

The office, Lehigh Valley Oral Surgery and Implant Center PC - Bethlehem, is seeking a talented surgical assistant to join their busy specialty practice. They are looking for a skilled Surgical Assistant to help improve the lives of their patients by providing a world-class specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders.
• Avoid the Dentist by anticipating and assisting with the surgeon’s needs during procedures.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Maintain patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
• Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.

Requirements

• OMFS experience preferred; no experience required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• A high school diploma.
• A certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law).
• An active state radiology license (if required by law).
