N O W S E A R C H I N G Surgical Account Manager Elucent Medical | New England Adoption does not happen in a boardroom. It happens case by case, in the OR, with a surgeon who needs to trust what is in their hands. That is the job. TERRITORY New England, based in CT or MA REPORTS TO Area Director TRAVEL Up to 75 percent TOTAL COMP AT PLAN $165,000 The short version Elucent Medical is hiring a Surgical Account Manager to own New England. You will win accounts, launch them, and stay with them until the surgeons are confident and the site runs on its own. If you know the OR, you like working with surgeons, and you have carried a number, this one is worth a conversation. 200+ systems placed in the market over the last two years $165K total compensation at plan $200K+ what top performers have cleared No cap on commission above 100 percent of quota Why surgeons say yes to Elucent Elucent makes the EnVisio System, wireless navigation for breast cancer surgery. Competing probe based systems locate tissue relative to a clip, and they have directionality limits. Elucent maps the whole breast in a spatial field, so the system knows exact position, not only where something sits compared to the clip. Surgeons are noticing. They come to the Elucent booth at the major breast meetings, and teaching institutions are sending residents and fellows who ask for this technology by name. Once a surgeon tries it hands on, they rarely say no. Faster procedures, better visibility for teaching, and data pointing to lower re-excision rates make the case. Your job is to get it into their hands. What you will do WIN THE ACCOUNT Drive utilization across hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers to meet or exceed quota. Build relationships across the whole account: surgeons, OR managers, mammography techs and radiologists. Use hands-on demos to get surgeons using the technology themselves. Build a referral network, a KOL team and a Center of Excellence program in the territory. Work with Area Directors to find new facilities that would benefit from Elucent. LAUNCH IT AND STAY Train surgeons, radiologists and staff, and provide case support until the site is independent. Become the sole point of contact once a trial closes, and decide when to bring in case coverage support. Provide ongoing product training and in-servicing for physicians, nurses, technicians and navigators. Make sure customer expectations are met or exceeded, every time. RUN YOUR TERRITORY Build territory business plans with your leadership and execute them to reach quota. Complete your learning modules and get fluent in the tools: Salesforce, Slack, Aquity MD and the reimbursement and ROI calculator. Know the technology, the related products and the procedures well enough to hold your own in a room full of clinicians. Your territory New England, mainly Connecticut and Massachusetts. Current accounts sit around Hartford. Seven more are being added near New Haven, tied to Yale Health System, and there is one just outside Boston. Boston itself is a stretch goal, since Elucent does not have partner relationships there yet. You will work remotely, based in Connecticut or Massachusetts. What this means for your career Account health in the first three to four months tends to predict long term success. That is where careers get built here, and the people who set good habits early are the ones who take off. Build something Hartford is established. New Haven is opening up. Boston is the stretch goal. You get a territory with real room to grow, and your name on the results. Pay that follows your results Commission starts paying at 50 percent of quota, steps up at 80, 90 and 100 percent, then has no cap. Some reps have cleared $200,000. A path to Area Director Surgical Account Manager is the step up to Area Director at Elucent. The two roles call for different skills, account management versus capital negotiation. Strong clinical performers are considered even with limited capital experience, because that part can be taught. See the clinical result You launch the account, train the team and stay with it. You see the clinical result of what you sold, case after case. What the pay looks like $110,000 base salary $165,000 total compensation at plan $200,000+ cleared by top performers Variable compensation begins at 50 percent of quota, steps up at 80, 90 and 100 percent, and is uncapped beyond that in 5 percent increments. Full plan details are shared during the process. Who will do well here YOU HAVE A bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, healthcare management or a related field. Two to three years of business to business sales, including a quota you have actually carried, not only case coverage. Time in the OR, and experience coaching surgeons until they are clinically independent. IT HELPS IF YOU HAVE Medical device sales experience in any surgical specialty. Breast surgery experience is a plus, not a requirement. An interest in growing toward Area Director. YOU ARE Organized and a strong communicator who can coordinate teammates across accounts. Calm under pressure, because when a system breaks or a surgeon struggles, you are the one they call. Strategic about your number. You think about how to hit it, not only how to stay busy. A self starter who manages a high travel schedule well and raises ideas for improving how we work. Comfortable with high tech medical technology and standard business software. Straight talk Travel is up to 75 percent. Frequent overnights and 7:30am cases are normal. The territory is smaller than some, and it still demands a lot of windshield time. This is a complex sale. It takes more than covering cases, and deals can take four to six months to reach a purchase order. Sometimes you start a relationship over from scratch. Fire-fighting is part of the job. We would rather you hear that now. If that sounds like a normal week to you, keep reading. How the process works 1 Meet the hiring leader A video call on Teams or Google Meet. 2 Meet your future teammates Conversations with three or four people at Elucent, including Surgical Account Managers, so you get the full picture and they can weigh in on fit. 3 Meet your Area Director A Leadership Conversation About The Territory And The Plan. 4 Final call A 30 minute call with senior leadership to close it out.
