Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Surgery Support Specialist II helps ensure that the surgical environment runs smoothly, and that patients receive appropriate care before and after surgery. This role focuses on effective coordination between the surgical team and the patients' families.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Licensure/ Certification: BLS by the American Heart Association within first month of hire
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Six or more months of experience in assisting an individual(s) in activities of daily living; this includes but is not limited to: personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and eating.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Work requires basic understanding of communication equipment such as pages, phones, overhead paging system, and documenting in hospital Electronic Medical Record.
