About the Role

Seeking a Surgery Scheduler in Orthopedics to coordinate outpatient visits, procedures, and surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling patient appointments, managing data entry in Epic, and preparing documentation for review.
  • Determining insurance pre-authorizations and mailing necessary information to patients.
  • Obtaining referrals and authorizations for clinic encounters, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Preauthorizing procedures and triaging new patient referrals via fax, phone, and email.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years of patient registration and insurance experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • College degree.
  • 3+ years of patient-facing experience.
  • Medical office background.
  • EPIC and MS Office proficiency.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA.

Work Environment

Onsite in Longmont and Boulder, CO, with travel as needed.
