Surgery Scheduler – Neurosurgery, Highlands Ranch

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule patient visits, including completing data entry in Epic and preparing all necessary documentation within the medical record for the physician to review.
• Determine if there will be any insurance pre-authorization needed, and mail information packets to patients as necessary.
• Obtain referrals and authorizations as necessary for all clinic patient encounters, procedures, and surgeries.
• Preauthorize procedures and surgeries.
• Triage new patient referrals (fax and phone); email out new patient information.
• Work Location: Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two (1-2) years of experience with patient registration and insurance processes.
• College graduate.
• Three or more (3+) years of patient/client-facing experience.
• Medical office experience.
• EPIC experience.
• MS Office experience.
• Bilingual, Spanish-speaking (preferred).

Conditions of Employment

• Must be able to work in person.
• Must be able to travel to alternate locations as assigned.
